Being a caudiform plant, the J. Podagrica stores its energy in its caudex— the swollen area of the truck. When small, the caudex is not pronounced but becomes more pronounced with age.
Grow in full sun to partial shade. Plant in well draining soil and allow soil to become dry between waterings. Don’t let it get colder than the mid 30’s F— mine don’t get below 40F.
Grown in pots, with time, they can get 2-3ft tall and produce small red flowers.
This is a fun plant.
Your plant will ship bare root and be 5-7” tall.
